At deep drawing of metal sheets both plastic and elastic deformations
are encountered. Because of inner stress in the material wave like failures
may arise.

Qualitative Detection of Failures |
| These failures may be detected using conventional 2D vision systems
by adding static structured illumination using for example our lineprojectors
MiniStat of MicroStat. |
Quantitative Detection of Failures |
| The deformations may be measured using our 3D method "Coded Light
Approach" in combination with the "phaseshifting method".
For this purpose the lineprojectors LCD-320, LCD-640 or MiniLin are used
in combination with the software package ABW-3D. This gives the ability
to determine the difference between the shape of a reference object or
the CAD model and the piece under test. |
